Rugs of the Turks

The most beautiful colors and designs and the finest weaving  the Turks could produce went into their prayer rugs.

The mihrab assumed various shapes, sometimes pointed, often bulbous or oval, occasionally square.

An intricate mosque lamp or flower form representing it, frequently hangs from the arch. There are many elaborate borders.
